What is life like at The Camden School for Girls Sixth Form?

CSG Sixth Form is a vibrant, aspirational and creative community. Our curriculum offer is vastly broad, with A level subjects ranging from Latin to Further Mathematics, from Art History to Philosophy. Our extracurricular offer is remarkable, with a range of opportunities, including lectures from high profile speakers, opportunities to study Ancient Greek, programmes of CSG Master Classes and a wide range of student-led societies.

We deliver a two-year three A Level study programme. There is also the option for students to take four A Levels. We aim to foster in our students both self-confidence and independence of mind so they can approach their learning with vigour and enthusiasm. Every year approximately 98% of our students apply for undergraduate degrees and two thirds of our students secure places at the prestigious Russell Group universities. Our success with Oxbridge, Medical, Dentistry and Ivy League schools is consistently high year after year.

It is our aim to educate our students holistically and we are committed to provide the opportunities and support for students to develop skills which will enable them to take responsibility for their own learning and lives. Whilst we have very high academic standards, we also recognise that there’s more to sixth form than just the subjects students study, so we also take extracurricular activities very seriously. Our students feel a real sense of achievement and confidence when joining others to enjoy learning and self-development beyond the curriculum.

Overall, life here is demanding but full of opportunity. You’re expected to work hard, but in return you get a community that listens to you, challenges you, and prepares you for life beyond school.

How are students supported and included?

CSG Sixth Form fosters inclusion through high-quality teaching, personalised interventions, and strong collaboration with parents, professionals and students. Tailored support is available in areas such as literacy, numeracy, speech, emotional regulation and access arrangements, helping all students to thrive.

Inclusion is embedded at every level. Staff receive regular training, and the school consults with students, parents and governors when shaping policy. Resources are allocated carefully across curriculum, support staff, learning materials and facilities to ensure equitable access for Sixth Formers. The Sixth Form supports students with disabilities academically and socially through curriculum adaptations, assistive technologies and improved physical access.

Learning Support in the Sixth Form focuses on high-quality, in-class differentiation, personalisation and close liaison between teachers, the SENDCo, parents and external specialists. Inclusive extracurricular activities, PSHE, RSE and assemblies further reinforce respect, identity awareness, equitable participation and community cohesion.

This reflects a systemic approach to inclusion and equality across the Sixth Form, ensuring that all students are able to participate fully and develop the resilience, independence and confidence needed for their next steps.

At CSG Sixth Form, we take university application process very seriously. A full programme of advice and guidance is arranged to inform and support students over the two years. We have a dedicated UCAS coordinator who advises students at every stage of the application process, enabling them to complete successful applications to universities and colleges of their choice.
