How are students supported and included?

At Hampstead School Sixth Form, we know that students achieve their best when they feel safe, supported and valued. Inclusion is at the very heart of our ethos, and we invest significant resources to ensure every student can thrive, whatever their needs.

Every student has a form tutor who is their main point of contact in school. Student wellbeing and progression is overseen by the Heads of Year 12 and Year 13. We have a dedicated careers adviser who offers all sixth form students bespoke advice in 1:1 interviews in preparation for their next steps. Our highly skilled pastoral team works tirelessly to provide the right support at the right time. Our Achievement Support department and specialist Bi-lingual Support Team ensure that all students are able to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Students leave Hampstead School Sixth Form for a wide variety of exciting destinations including university, drama school, arts college and apprenticeships. Our Hampstead School Advanced Programme offers bespoke support for students aspiring to study at Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities. Fortnightly sessions are delivered by experienced staff who support students in making competitive applications to some of the UK’s top universities. Students participate in an academic symposium, super curricular enrichment activities and visit Cambridge University.

Aspiring STEM students are mentored by external tutors who provide subject-specific support and coaching in small seminar groups, to help students with interview preparation and pre-admissions tests such as the UCAT and TMUA. Our longstanding partnerships with the Donmar Warehouse and Camden Roundhouse offer our Performing Arts and Media students incredible opportunities to work and perform in worldclass, professional spaces.
